Last night near 2225 hours, Meridian Police responded to a local hospital where they met a man who had been shot in both legs. The shooting occurred in the 400 block of 32nd Avenue but further information is unavailable as the victim refused to cooperate with the Police. The wounds were not deemed life threatening. No further.

This morning at 0140 hours, Meridian Police Department's Delta Platoon responded to the parking lot of a bar on Russell Drive on a report of someone being assaulted and robbed. Upon arrival they spotted the suspects fleeing in a vehicle. A vehicle pursuit reaching speeds of 90 miles an hour ensued however the driver of the suspect vehicle lost control and crashed near Hawkins Crossing. After a foot pursuit the driver was apprehended and the other three suspects in the car were apprehended as well. Police are now investigating the matter, gathering evidence and speaking to the witnesses and victims (2) with charges pending against the four. The victim's injuries were not considered life threatening. No further.

Yesterday Meridian Police arrested 22 year old Ryan M King of Meridian after he turned himself in to Police. King has been charged with Aggravated Assault and his bond set at $200,000. Police are still searching for Ian Fortenberry of Neshoba County for the same charge on the same case. No further.
