Last night just before 2100 hours, Meridian Police and Meridian Fire responded to a residence in the 2200 block of 8th Avenue on a report of an Attempted Arson. Upon arrival they found where someone had used Molotov cocktails in an attempt to burn a vehicle and a house. The attempts were unsuccessful. Police are investigating the incident.

Yesterday morning, Meridian Police arrested 39 year old Mark Ruffin of Lisman Alabama and charged him with Felon carrying a Concealed Weapon. This charge stemming from a traffic stop. Bond was set at $250,000.
