Meridian Police Department Media Release

The following were reported to the Meridian PD from 03-20-2014 to 03-21-2014

Robbery

At 8:38 PM, on March 20, 2014, Meridian Police responded to an attempted armed robbery in the 2300 block of Highway 19 N. Officers arrived at 8:40 PM and determined that an armed b/m walked up to the victim while he was getting gas. The suspect did not get anything from the victim. Officers took the suspect into custody.

At 2:24 AM, on March 21, 2014, Meridian Police responded to a strong armed robbery in the 200 block of Highway 11 and 80. Officers arrived at 2:31 AM and the victim told them that w/m had assaulted him and took his wallet.

Commercial Burglary

At 7:08 AM, on March 20, 2014, Meridian Police responded to a commercial burglary in the 3100 block of 8th Street. Officers arrived at 7:21 AM and determined that entry was gained through a window.

At 7:16 AM, on March 20, 2014, Meridian Police responded to a commercial burglary in the 2400 block of 4th Street. Officers arrived at 7:21 AM and determined that entry was gained through a door.

At 8:26 AM, on March 20, 2014, Meridian Police responded to a commercial burglary in the 1100 block of 47th Avenue. Officers arrived at 8:24 AM and determined that entry was gained through a door.

Stolen Vehicles

There were no stolen vehicles.

Auto Burglary

At 9:33 AM, on March 20, 2014, Meridian Police responded to an auto burglary in the 4900 block of 14th Street. Officers arrived at 9:39 AM and determined that entry was gained through a window.

Residential Burglary

There were no burglaries reported.

Shootings

Meridian Officer responded to three calls of shots fired but there was no evidence found to support the call.

There were two calls of shots fired and the Officers were in the area shots were reported in and no shots had been fired.
