The following were reported to the Meridian PD from 03-25-2014 to 03-27-2014

Robbery

There were no robberies reported.

Commercial Burglary

At 8:34 AM, on March 26, 2014, Meridian Police responded to a commercial burglary in the 3300 block of 8th Street. Officers arrived in 2 minutes and determined that entry was gained through a door of the business.

Stolen Vehicles

At 3:42 PM, on March 25, 2014, a victim came to the Police department to report a stolen vehicle that was taken from the 1800 block of South frontage Road.

Auto Burglary

At 6:24 AM, on March 25, 2014, Meridian Police responded to an auto burglary in the 2800 block of 7th Street. Officers arrived at 6:28 AM and determined that entry was gained through a window.

At 4:03 PM, on March 26, 2014, Meridian Police responded to an auto burglary in the 1700 block of 2nd Street South. Officers arrived in 1 minute and determined that entry was gained through a door.

Residential Burglary

At 8:30 AM, on March, 25, 2014, Meridian Police responded to a burglary in the 1100 block of 30th Avenue. Officers arrived at 8:49 AM and determined that entry was gained through a window.

At 12:50 PM, on March 25, 2014, Meridian Police responded to a burglary that occurred in the 3800 block of 40th Street. Officers arrived at 1:04 PM and determined that entry was gained through window.

At 1:33 PM, on March 25, 2014, Meridian Police responded to a burglary in the 3900 block of 40th Street. Officers arrived at 1:33 PM and determined that entry was gained through a window.

At 3:51 PM, on March 26, 2014, Meridian Police responded to a burglary that occurred in the 1400 50th Avenue. Officers arrived at 3:57 PM and determined that entry was gained through a door.

Shootings

Meridian Police responded to 10 calls of shots fired over the last two days. When Officers arrived on scene there was no evidence to support the call and the callers did not want to speak with Officer.

At 11:54 PM, on March 25, 2014, Meridian Police responded to a shooting into a vehicle in the 1400 block of 24th Avenue. Officers arrived in 2 minutes and determined that this was domestic situation. There were two people arrested in connection with this case one charged with shooting into a vehicle and both with aggravated assault.

Felony Arrest

On March 19, 2014, Meridian Narcotic Agents charged 33 year old Jeffery S. Pope with possession of a controlled substance. Pope’s bond was set at $15,000.00.
