Meridian Police Department Media Release

The following were reported to the Meridian PD from 03-28-2014 to 03-31-2014

Robbery

At 8:16 AM, on March 28, 2014, a victim came to the Police department to report that she had been robbed at gunpoint on March 27, 2014, in 900 block of 28th Avenue. The suspect was a black male wearing a grey hoodie and was armed with a handgun and took cash from the victim. This case is under investigation and no one was injured.

Commercial Burglary

At 7:30 AM, on March 28, 2014, Meridian Police responded to a commercial burglary in the 3900 block of 7th Street. Officers arrived at 7:47 AM and determined that entry was gained through a window.

At 4:19 AM, on March 30, 2014, Meridian Police responded to a commercial burglary in the 2130 North Frontage Road. Officer arrived 4 minutes later and took two black males into custody for burglary. Entry was gained through window.

Stolen Vehicles

There were no stolen vehicles reported.

Auto Burglary

There were no auto burglaries reported.

Residential Burglary

At 11:21 AM, on March 29, 2014, Meridian Police responded to a burglary in the 2000 block of 38th Avenue. Officers arrived on scene in 6 minutes and determined that entry was gained through a door.

Shootings

Meridian Police responded to three false calls of shots fired this weekend. Officers were in the areas when the calls came out and no shots had been fired.

At 11:22 PM, on March 29, 2014, Meridian Police responded to a shooting into a dwelling in the 2600 block 18th Street. Officers arrived on scene in 4 minutes and determined that the house was hit once. The case is still under investigation and no one was hurt.
