Meridian Police Department Media Release

The following were reported to the Meridian PD from Monday to Tuesday.

On Tuesday morning around 6:15 AM Meridian Police responded to Anderson’s ER to a report of a person that had been brought to the hospital who had been shot. The incident occurred on 40th Avenue. According to the initial investigation the victim accidentally shot himself in the leg. The victim is in critical condition.

On yesterday November 04, 2013, Meridian Police Department SWAT Team along with Meridian Detectives and Meridian Narcotic Agents while searching for the suspect in the Garbage Truck shooting incident from October 31, 2013 raided a house and made several misdemeanor drug arrests along with other misdemeanor charges. The suspect from the shooting was taken into custody but his name is not being released at this time bending charges.

Robbery

There were no robberies reported.

Commercial Burglary

There were no commercial burglaries reported.

Stolen Vehicles

There were no stolen vehicles reported.

Auto Burglary

There was no auto burglaries reported.

Residential Burglary

At 3:15 PM, on November 3, 2013, Meridian Police responded to the 1700 block of Highway 39N to a residential burglary. Entry was gained through a front door.

At 2:00 PM, on November 3, 2013, Meridian Police responded to the 4000 block of 35th Street to residential burglary. Entry was gained through a window.

At 4:40 PM, on November 3, 2013, Meridian Police responded to the 400 block of 57th Avenue to residential burglary. Entry was gained through a front door.

Felony Arrest

On November 2, 2013, Meridian Detectives charged 22 year old Demarcus D. Pringle with burglary. This stemmed from an incident that occurred in June 2013. Pringle’s bond was set at $15,000.
