On Friday, Meridian Police charged 23 year old Richard B Bridges and 20 year old James L Salisbury, both of Meridian, with Motor Vehicle Theft. These charges stem from the incident reported on Thursday morning from 56th Avenue. Bond was set at $15,000 per charge.

Early Saturday morning, Meridian Police responded to a shooting call in the 2300 block of 5th Street. Upon arrival they found where multiple shots had been fired that struck two vehicles and at least one business window. A suspect was taken into custody at the scene and the investigation is continuing.

Saturday evening, Meridian Police responded to a shooting call at Frankberry Courts. Upon arrival they found a female had been shot in the calf by another individual. The wound was not life threatening. A suspect was taken into custody shortly afterwards and the investigation is continuing.
