The following were reported to the Meridian P.D. on Tuesday
Commercial Burglary

No Commercial Burglaries were reported on Tuesday.

Stolen Vehicle

Tuesday at 139 PM, Meridian Police were advised a red 2006 Yamaha motorcycle, model YZF-RI, was stolen from the 1700 block of Highway 19 north. Anyone with information is asked to call Crimestoppers at 601-485-1860.

Auto Burglary

Tuesday at 549 Am, Meridian Police responded to an Auto Burglary in the 1100 block of 38th Avenue. Entry was through a door and money stolen. Anyone with information is asked to call Crimestoppers at 601-485-1860.

Tuesday at 254 PM, Meridian Police responded to an attempted Auto Burglary in the 4300 block of P.S.D. Entry was attempted through a door.

Robbery

Tuesday night at 728 PM, Meridian Police responded to an Armed Robbery of a business located in the 2400 block of Grandview. The clerk advised Police a masked black male entered the business, displayed a handgun and robbed the business before fleeing on foot. The clerk was uninjured. Police are working on obtaining the video from the store and will forward it to the media as soon as possible. Anyone with information is asked to call Crimestoppers at 601-485-1860.

Early Wednesday morning at 320 AM, Meridian Police responded to an Armed Robbery of an individual in the 2300 block of Highway 39 north. The victim advised Police he was robbed at knifepoint by a white male wearing dark pants. The suspect fled on foot and the victim was uninjured. Anyone with information is asked to call Crimestoppers at 601-485-1860.

Residential Burglary

Tuesday at 1121 PM, Meridian Police responded to a Residential Burglary in the 5100 block of 24th Place. Entry was through a window and miscellaneous items were stolen. Anyone with information is asked to call Crimestoppers at 601-485-1860.

Tuesday at 254 PM, Meridian Police responded to a Residential Burglary in the 4400 block of 27th Street. Entry was through a door and money stolen. Anyone with information is asked to call Crimestoppers at 601-485-1860.

Tuesday at 427 PM, Meridian Police responded to a Residential Burglary in the 700 block of 23rd Street. Entry was through a window and money stolen. Anyone with information is asked to call Crimestoppers at 601-485-1860.

On Tuesday, Meridian Police charged 19 year old Aliyah R Abernathy of Toomsuba with Accessory After the fact to Aggravated Assault. This charge stems from the shooting reported Saturday night at Frankberry Courts. Bond was set at $50,000. The investigation is continuing.

On Tuesday, Meridian Police charged 27 year old Anthony B Kolp of Meridian with Felony DUI. Bond was set at $15,000.

On Tuesday, Meridian Police charged 29 year old Daniel R Baxley of Meridian with one count of Motor Vehicle Theft and two counts of Auto Burglary. All these charges stem from incidents that occurred last Thursday in the area of 5th Street and 56th Avenue. No bond was set due to Baxley being out on a previous felony charges.

Last night at 658 PM, a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle on Highway 80 west near Cedar Bend Apartments. The pedestrian later died of his injuries at a local hospital. The name of the victim is being withheld pending notification of next of kin. No charges are expected to be filed.
