Commercial Burglary

Thursday morning at 715 AM, Meridian Police responded to a Commercial Burglary in the 1400 block of 11th Avenue. Entry was made through a door and a handgun was stolen. Anyone with information is asked to call Crimestoppers at 601-485-1860.

Thursday morning at 841 AM, Meridian Police responded to a Commercial Burglary in the 900 block of Virginia Drive. Entry was made through a door and a TV stolen. Anyone with information is asked to call Crimestoppers at 601-485-1860.

Thursday afternoon, Meridian Police responded to a Commercial Burglary in the 5500 block of 5th Street. Entry was made through a window but nothing was stolen.

Residential Burglary

On Thursday morning at 1010 AM, Meridian Police responded to a Residential Burglary in the 500 block of 54th Avenue. Entry was through a door and tools were stolen. Anyone with information is asked to call Crimestoppers at 601-485-1860.

On Thursday morning at 1010 AM, Meridian Police responded to an Auto Burglary in the 500 block of 54th Avenue. Entry was through a door and money was stolen. Anyone with information is asked to call Crimestoppers at 601-485-1860.

On Thursday morning at 948 AM, Meridian Police responded to an Auto Burglary in the 4900 block of P.S.D. Entry was made through a door and miscellaneous items were stolen. A suspect was taken into custody in relation to this case.

On Thursday afternoon, Meridian Police responded to an Auto Burglary in the 1000 block of 29th Avenue. Entry was made through a door and a radio was stolen. Anyone with information is asked to call Crimestoppers at 601-485-1860.

Auto Burglary

On Wednesday at 1258 AM, Meridian Police responded to a Residential Burglary in the 2000 block of Lynch Avenue. Entry was through a door and a purse stolen. Anyone with information is asked to call Crimestoppers at 601-485-1860.

Late Thursday, Meridian Police charged 30 year old Jafron L Roberts of Meridian with Kidnapping, Rape, one count of Receiving Stolen Property and one count of Disposal of Stolen Property. Bond was set at $50,000 for the Receiving charge, $50,000 for the Disposal charge, $350,000 for the Rape charge and no bond was set for the Kidnapping charge.
