City of Meridian Police Report - September 25, 2013

The following were reported to the Meridian P.D. on Tuesday September 09/24/2013

ROBBERY

No Robberies were reported Tuesday.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY

Tuesday morning at 3:55 PM, Meridian Police responded to a Residential Burglary in the 1100 block of 36th Avenue.

STOLEN VEHICLE

At 8:00 AM Tuesday morning, Meridian Police were called to a Stolen Vehicle case in the 1200 block of 17th Avenue. The owner advised the vehicle, a 1981 Chevy C-10 that is blue in color, was stolen sometime in the last 24 hours. The tag displayed on the vehicle is Ms. LB1851.

At 10:30 PM Tuesday afternoon, Meridian Police were called to a Stolen Vehicle case in the 4500 block of Highway 19 North. The owner advised the vehicle, a 2002 Mazda Millenia that is black in color, was stolen. The tag displayed on the vehicle is Ms. LAN510. Anyone with information is asked to call Crimestoppers at 601-485-1860.

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY

No Commercial Burglaries were reported Tuesday.

AUTO BURGLARY

Tuesday morning at 700 AM, Meridian Police responded to an Auto Burglary in the 700 block of Bonita Lakes Drive.

Tuesday morning at 700 AM, Meridian Police responded to an Auto Burglary in the 700 block of Crestwood Drive.

Tuesday morning at 11:00 PM, Meridian Police responded to a Burglary of an auto in the 3100 block of Vally Street.

Meridian Police Department Arrest

On Tuesday September 24, 2013 Meridian Police Department Detectives made the Following felony arrest.

Meridian Police Detectives arrested 26 year old black male Brandon J. Harris of Meridian for Armed Robbery. This incident occurred on September 19, 2013 in the 1300 block of Hamilton Avenue at 1:47 AM. Harris's bond was set at $ 50,000. Harris is currently being housed at the Lauderdale County Detention Facility and is awaiting further legal and/or bonding actions,

** Note ** Previously reported arrestee Tyesha Thedford (Armed Robbery) was party to this incident.

The following were reported to the Meridian P.D. on Wednesday September 09/25/2013

ROBBERY

On Wednesday Morning at 5:13 AM, Officers with the Meridian Police Department responded to the 4300 block of Hwy. 39 North in reference to an Armed Robbery. The victim, who was not injured, stated that he was robbed at gunpoint by a black male wearing a dark hoodie and a red bandana over his face. At this time the incident is being investigated, but no suspects are in custody.
