Auto Burglary

There were no Auto Burglaries reported yesterday

Commercial Burglary

On Thursday at 107 PM, Meridian Police responded to an attempted Commercial Burglary in the 100 block of 23rd Street. Entry was attempted through a wall vent. Anyone with information is asked to call Crimestoppers at 601-485-1860.

Stolen Vehicle

Thursday night at 834 PM, Meridian Police responded to a Stolen Vehicle call in the 3000 block of 8th Street. The owner advised Police he left the keys in the vehicle and his vehicle was stolen from the parking lot. Meridian Police spotted the vehicle shortly afterwards and a small vehicle pursuit and subsequent foot chase ensued however the suspect was able to elude Police. The vehicle was returned to the owner.

Robbery

Thursday morning at 5 AM, Meridian Police responded to a Strong Armed Robbery in the 600 block of 52nd Avenue. A female was robbed of her purse by two black males who fled on foot. The victim was uninjured. Anyone with information is asked to call Crimestoppers at 601-485-1860.

Thursday night at 835 PM, Meridian Police responded to a Strong Armed Robbery in the 1600 block of 11th Avenue. The 88 year old victim advised Police he was robbed of his wallet in his home by a black male who fled on foot. He was unharmed in the incident. Residential Burglary

Thursday morning at 108 AM, Meridian Police responded to a Residential Burglary in the 2400 block of 35th Avenue. Entry was through a door and miscellaneous items were stolen. Anyone with information is asked to call Crimestoppers at 601-485-1860.

Thursday afternoon at 222 PM, Meridian Police responded to a Residential Burglary in the 4500 block of 11th Street. Entry was through a door but nothing was reported stolen. Anyone with information is asked to call Crimestoppers at 601-485-1860.

Thursday afternoon at 313 PM, Meridian Police responded to a Residential Burglary in the 800 block of 20th Street. Entry was through a window and a gun was stolen. Anyone with information is asked to call Crimestoppers at 601-485-1860.

Thursday night at 1049 PM, Meridian Police responded to a Residential Burglary in the 2000 block of Valley View Drive. Entry was through a door and money was stolen. Anyone with information is asked to call Crimestoppers at 601-485-1860.

Yesterday, Meridian Police arrested 48 year old Charles D Spencer of Hattiesburg and charged him with being a Fugitive for Justice. This warrant stems from an outstanding warrant out of Texas. Spencer was apprehended after Officers responded to a suspicious persons call on Wednesday. There is no bond for this charge.
