The State Coroner's Office in Jackson has ruled the death of Jamie Wilkes, as accidental due to hypothermia. Wilkes was reported missing to Police on March 2nd and her body was found half submerged in mud in a drained pond off of Watters Drive on March 27th. It is believed Wilkes died from hypothermia from a combination of being stuck in the mud of the drained pond and the below freezing temperatures and wind chill that occurred in the time frame she was reported missing.
