Residential Burglary

Friday afternoon at 4:30 PM, Meridian Police responded to a Residential Burglary in the 300 block of N. Lakeland Drive. Anyone with information is asked to call Crimestoppers at 601-485-1860.

Stolen Vehicle

No Stolen Vehicles were reported Friday.

Robbery

No Robberies were reported Friday.

Auto Burglary

Meridian Police responded to an Auto Burglary at 9:24 AM Friday morning in the 400 block of 40th Avenue. Anyone with information is asked to call Crimestoppers at 601-485-1860.

Meridian Police responded to an Auto Burglary at 5:13 PM Friday afternoon in the 2300 block of Hwy. 39 North.Anyone with information is asked to call Crimestoppers at 601-485-1860.

Commercial Burglary

Meridian Police Department Arrest

On Friday September 20, 2013 Meridian Police Department Detectives made the Following felony arrest.

Meridian Police Detectives arrested 36 year old black male Reginald D. Allen of Meridian for Embezzlement. This incident occurred at A & A Express Lane Convenience Store (formerly Stuckey's) located at 1500 Hwy. 11 South. Allen's bond was set at $10,000. Allen made bond and is now awaiting further legal and/or bonding actions,

Meridian Police Detectives arrested 32 year old black female Shannon T. Jackson of Meridian for Aggravated Assault. This incident occurred in the 4100 block of 58th Place. Jackson's bond was set at $ 10,000. Jackson made bond and is now awaiting further legal and/or bonding actions.

The following were reported to the Meridian P.D. on Saturday, September 21, 2013

Residential Burglary

Saturday morning at 800 AM, Meridian Police responded to a Residential Burglary in the 2200 block of 23rd Avenue. Anyone with information is asked to call Crimestoppers at 601-485-1860.

Saturday afternoon at 6:23 PM, Meridian Police were dispatched to the 1000 block of 25th Avenue on a Residential Burglary call. Anyone with information is asked to call Crimestoppers at 601-485-1860.

Saturday afternoon at 12:00 PM, Meridian Police were dispatched to the 3300 block of 27th Avenue on a Residential Burglary call. 18 year old black male Jacorrie C. Robinson of Meridian and a 17 year old black male juvenile were taken into custody on scene by Meridian Police Officers for Attempted Burglary Charges. The juvenile was turned over to the Lauderdale County Juvenile Center awaiting further legal actions. Robinson was placed on hold at the Lauderdale County Detention Facility under a $ 5,000.00 awaiting further legal and/or bonding actions.

Note (because of the timing of this release, Robinson bonded out on this charge on 09/23/13)

Stolen Vehicle

No Stolen Vehicles were reported Saturday.

Robbery

At 9:49 PM this afternoon, Meridian Police responded to a Robbery that occurred in the 600 block of 22 Avenue South. Upon arrival they were informed that 3 black males and 2 black females forced their way into a room and robbed the occupants at gunpoint. Shortly afterwards, a person of interest was taken into custody by Meridian Police. The case is under investigation and anyone with information is asked to call Crimestoppers at 601-485-1860.

Auto Burglary

Meridian Police responded to an Auto Burglary at 8:57 AM Saturday morning in the 2500 block of 39th Street.

Meridian Police responded to an Auto Burglary at 11:00 AM Saturday morning in the 2900 block of 38th Court.

Meridian Police responded to an Auto Burglary at 11:15 AM Saturday morning in the 2600 block of 45th Street.

Meridian Police responded to an Auto Burglary at 14:58 PM Saturday afternoon in the 200 block of North Hills Street.

Meridian Police responded to an Auto Burglary at 6:00 PM Saturday afternoon in the 5600 block of West Gates Hills.

Meridian Police responded to an Auto Burglary at 6:00 PM Saturday afternoon in the 4000 block of 26th Street.Anyone with information is asked to call Crimestoppers at 601-485-1860.

Commercial Burglary

No Commercial Burglaries were reported Saturday.

Residential Burglary

Sunday afternoon at 3:29 PM, Meridian Police responded to a Residential Burglary in the 5300 block of 5th Street.

Sunday afternoon at 7:30 PM, Meridian Police were dispatched to the 100 block of 35th Avenue on a Residential Burglary call.

Sunday afternoon at 7:55 PM, Meridian Police responded to a Residential Burglary in the 1100 block of 26th Avenue. Anyone with information is asked to call Crimestoppers at 601-485-1860.

Stolen Vehicle

At 722 AM Sunday morning, Meridian Police were called to a Stolen Vehicle case in the 1900 block of 11 Street. The owner advised the vehicle, a 1993 Chevy Lumina that is red in color, was stolen sometime in the last 24 hours. The tag displayed on the vehicle is LAX 392.

At 600 PM Sunday afternoon, Meridian Police were called to a Stolen Vehicle case in the 100 block of Highway 11 & 80 . The owner advised the vehicle, a 2012 Toyota Camry that is red in color, was stolen sometime in the last 24 hours. At this time the Tag registration is unknown at this time. Anyone with information is asked to call Crimestoppers at 601-485-1860.

Meridian Police responded to an Auto Burglary at 9:06 AM Sunday morning in the 2600 block of 45th Avenue.

Meridian Police responded to an Auto Burglary at 4:26 PM Sunday morning in the 1800 block of 38th Street.

Meridian Police responded to an Auto Burglary at 10:00 PM Sunday morning in the 2700 block of 45th Avenue. Anyone with information is asked to call Crimestoppers at 601-485-1860.

Grand Larceny

At 1:30 PM on Sunday Afternoon Meridian Police responded to a Grand Larceny in the 800 block of Hwy. 19 North, where multiple cell phones were stolen.

Meridian Police Department Arrest

On Sunday September 22, 2013 Meridian Police Department Detectives made the Following felony arrest.

Meridian Police Detectives arrested 21 year old black female Tyesha T. Thedford of Meridian for Armed Robbery. This incident occurred in at the Super Inn Hotel located at 1010 North Frontage Road. Thedford's bond was set at $ 50,000. She is currently housed at the Lauderdale county Detention facility awaiting further legal and/or bonding actions.
