Only those with a legal reason for not being present on election day may vote by absentee ballot.
The primary election is just two weeks from Tuesday, and time is running out to cast your vote in this year's primary.
"The ballots are available for people to come in and vote right here at the counter," said Circuit Clerk Donna Jill Johnson. "If you're in a situation that you need a ballot mailed to you in Lauderdale County, we do require something in writing. So, if that needs to be, then if they'll call our office, we'll walk them through the process to do that."
A legal reason is required to vote by absentee ballot. If you would like more information on how to vote absentee, you may stop by the courthouse, or call 601-482-9731. The primary election is Aug. 2.
