Absentee ballots are now available at Circuit Clerk's offices across the state for those who won't be able to vote on election day.
Local circuit clerks are urging residents to cast their vote as early as possible if they have to vote absentee.
"We've already had a lot of military people come in and vote knowing they are going to be out of town," said Lauderdale Co. Circuit Clerk Donna Jill Johnson.
"We encourage people to look at their calendar and see what's going on before November 8th, and come on down now and beat the crowd and beat the long lines," she said.
If a voter has planned a vacation, has a surgery scheduled, military deployment, works out of town, works during polling hours, or is age 65 and over, they may vote absentee.
If you have any questions about whether you are eligible to vote early or not, contact your local office.
