Choctaw Tribal Elections were still ongoing late Tuesday night as officials decided to allow the polls to stay open in at least two locations due to a large voter turnout.
Polls were originally scheduled to close at 8 p.m.
However, the voting continued after 9 p.m. in some locations, including the Pearl River and Conehatta communities.
Only people already in line before 8 p.m. were being allowed to vote.
