Hudson Holliday has already qualified to run for governor of Mississippi, but wanted to make a personal announcement in Meridian. He did that Wednesday.
Holliday says he has led successful private businesses, from real estate to timber companies. He says he has the experience and leadership skills to be governor.
"This is not about being a career politician. And it's not about being a businessman," said Holliday. "It's always about leadership. Whether it's in school or church or business or in government, it's always about leadership. I have the proven leadership, being a general in the National Guard, in addition to being successful in about 10 different businesses that I've started from scratch."
Holliday is currently a county supervisor in Pearl River County.
