As of 5 p.m., interest in and turnout for election day was reportedly high despite rainy conditions in some areas of the state, according to Secretary of State Delbert Hosemann.
Hosemann said the few problems reported were rectified.
The phone bank at his office reported receiving more than 300 calls as of 5 p.m., with issues ranging from precinct location, too few voting machines in use, and lack of party affiliation on a county’s ballot.
