Mississippi Gov. Phil Bryant says he is endorsing Mitt Romney for president.

The first-term Republican governor told The Associated Press he believes Romney has the best chance to defeat Democratic President Barack Obama in November.

Bryant also says he admires the job Romney did in balancing Massachusetts' budget as governor.

Bryant had supported Texas Gov. Rick Perry until Perry dropped out of the presidential race. He announced his support of Romney shortly before he was scheduled to appear with Romney at a campaign event in Pascagoula.

Mississippi's presidential primary is next week. Several other Republican statewide elected officials, including U.S. Sen. Thad Cochran and Lt. Gov. Tate Reeves, were already on board with
Romney.

There is plenty of criticism that can be leveled at Romney. But what he's "voted for and not voted for"? Really? The man has not held public office, except for a term as governor of Massachusetts. He couldn't "vote for and not vote for" legislation. That wasn't part of the job.

Phil Bryant is an idiot if he supports romney. we need a christian in the office of the president, not someone who claims to be. we had enough of the one that claimed to be and ended up saying we were not a christian nation. besides look at all romney has voted for and not voted for.
