Dozens of Cities Miss Certification Deadline
Posted: 06/14/2013 - Mississippi's chief elections officer says numerous municipalities failed to certify their recent election results by the legal deadline.
The hearings begin July 7 in Southaven and end Sept. 6 in
Cleveland.
The proposed initiatives deal with eminent domain, the
definition of personhood and voter ID.
The eminent domain and personhood amendments are being challenged in the courts.
Here is the schedule for the hearings. All start at 5:30 p.m.
The Meridian hearing is July 28 at the MSU Riley Center.

Pamela Weaver, spokeswoman for Secretary of State Delbert Hosemann, says statements from all nine hearings will be available online at the secretary of state's website and will be published in an educational booklet.
