Lauderdale County election commissioners Wednesday finished preparing dozens of voting machines to be used in primary voting May 7.
Commissioners have spent the past two days at the Lauderdale County Courthouse preparing for the upcoming municipal elections.
All 65 voting machines have been tested and re-tested for accuracy.
Commission chairman Jeff Tate says there are times when normal wear and tear causes issues with the printers, but as far as voting accuracy, legally, the machines have to be perfect:
"As far as the accuracy of the votes, it's spot on," said Tate. "By law, it has to be spot on. If they're off by a single vote, then we have to bring in another machine."
Party primary elections for cities and towns is Tuesday, May 7.
