Forbert Concert Thursday at Riley Center

A concert Thursday night at the MSU Riley Center will benefit LOVE's Kitchen, a charity that feeds the hungry and homeless.

Meridian native Steve Forbert is coming back home and bringing his original band with him. The show starts at 8 p.m.

"This is probably a one in a lifetime experience that you could actually be right there, in such a beautiful, graceful building as the Riley Center. And hear some of the best music that has ever come from Meridian, Miss.," said Ruth Irwin, director of LOVE's Kitchen.

Forbert has recorded over 25 albums, and recently released a new one, "Strange Names & New Sensations".

Tickets are still available for $20 and $25 each. You may reach the MSU Riley Center box office at 601-696-2200.

This had to have been the best concert I have ever been to. I have never seen any artist give their whole heart into a show Like Mr. Forbert. If you didn't make it, you missed a great treat and I for one am sure hoping Mr. forbert and his band will come back to Meridian!
