2008 JRMF Activities Announced

The Jimmie Rodgers Foundation announced Monday the first of its events for 2008.

Ernie Haase and Signature Sound will perform Gospel at the MSU Riley Center April 3 at 7 p.m.

On April 26, the country group, Emerson Drive, will perform its number one hit, "Moments" and others, also at the Riley Center.

"And we're very excited," said foundation president, Betty Lou Jones.
"They've been nominated for a Grammy and we're looking forward to having a talent of that caliber here at the MSU Riley Center for the Jimmie Rodgers Foundation."

The youth and adult talent competitions will also be at the MSU Riley Center.

9 a.m. to 4 p.m
Pre-registration is required. Fee is $50 per applicant.

The youth competition will be held first and is for ages 3-14, with categories of ages 3-6, 7-11, and 12-15.

The adult competition is for people 16 and older. It will begin as soon as the youth competition ends.

Winners will receive tickets, prize money and the opportunity to open for Emerson Drive.
