Morgan Freeman remained in serious condition Tuesday with a broken arm and elbow after he and a passenger were injured in wreck in Mississippi.
The 71-year-old Freeman and 48-year-old Demaris Meyer of Memphis were taken to the Regional Medical Center in Memphis following the accident on Highway 32 in Tallahatchie County Sunday night.
State troopers said the car careened off the highway and overturned twice before landing upright in a ditch.
Donna Lee, Freeman's publicist, said the Oscar-winning actor underwent surgery Monday, and has a broken arm, broken elbow and minor shoulder damage.
Lee said "The Dark Knight" star is expected to make a full recovery.
