MSO Announces Peppermint Pops

This Christmas season, you'll have an opportunity to do some caroling with others in the community, and the Meridian Symphony Orchestra.

MSO announced plans for "Peppermint Pops", a joint concert with the Meridian Symphony Choir and the Chambiata Children's Choir.

That show will be Dec. 5 at the MSU Riley Center, and feature all kinds of Christmas music.

"It's a family concert. It's designed for families to come, it'll be participatory, singing along with the orchestra," said conductor, Dr. Claire Fox Hillard. "Christmas favorites, holiday favorites, about an hour in length, meant for the entire family to come and enjoy."

Tickets for the concert are $10 for children and $15 for adults. Tickets go on sale Oct. 27 at the MSU Riley Center box office.

It's also starting to look like Christmas in downtown Meridian. Workers began putting up lights at Dumont Plaza this week.
