The Christmas season is quickly approaching, which means a Meridian tradition is also back again.
The 40th Annual Trees of Christmas will begin later this month at Merrehope and the F.W. Williams House, located at 905 Martin Luther King Drive.
The theme is "Memories of Meridian, and Merrehope and the F.W. Williams Home"". Organizers say this will be a special presentation. The featured tree this year will be the Ruby Tree, in recognition of the 40th anniversary.
Tours will begin Friday, Nov. 21, and continue through Jan. 3. Hours are Monday-Saturday, 9 a.m. until 5 p.m.
Tickets are $10.00 for adults. Ticket prices for children vary, according to age, ranging from $3.00 to $5.00 each. Senior citizen and group rates are available. The homes will also be open Sunday, Nov. 30 and Dec. 21 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Special events and tours may be made by appointment. There will be a half-price discount on Merry Meridian Day, Dec. 6.
Trees will include a Rodeo Tree, Bride’s Tree, Carousel Tree, Special
Olympics Tree, Salute to Navy Meridian, Meridian Symphony, and many
other favorites as well as new trees for 2008.
There will also be a holiday gift shop with handmade items available for purchase.
