The 59Twenty Music Festival is Saturday in downtown Meridian.
Music, food and activities will be featured at the event at Singing Brakeman Park on Front Street, next to Union Station, 1:30 p.m. to 11 p.m.
Tickets are $25 dollars in advance and may be purchased at Harry Mayer Clothiers, Meridian Underground Music, and the EMBDC (in Union Station), or online for $27.00 and $30 at the door. There is a $10 military discount. Children 12 and under are admitted free.
This year's headliner is blues rocker Kenny Wayne Shepherd and his band. Also appearing: Rosco Bandana, Hana Lena, and The Matthew Davidson Band.
The event is sponsored by Young Professionals of Meridian and benefits Care Lodge.
"They service nine counties in the surrounding areas, and they do a lot for abuse victims," said Meredith Rea. "They do a lot to help rehabilitate abusers, and they really do a lot for these families, so we want to support them."
