The Neshoba County Fair, "Mississippi's Giant House Party", is a political "gabfest", especially during heated election years, of which 2007 is one.
Every candidate for statewide office is expected to take the stage at Founder's Square.
Among those candidates are those running for lieutenant governor and attorney general on Wednesday; and governor and secretary of state on Thursday.
Other candidates also speak at the fair and/or use the occasion to shake hands and distribute campaign literature. It is considered "the place to be".
