Forbert Concert to Benefit LOVE's Kitchen

Singer-songwriter and Meridian native Steve Forbert will perform in a benefit concert on Thursday, Oct. 4, at the MSU Riley Center in Meridian. The performance will benefit LOVE's Kitchen, a charity that feeds the hungry and homeless.

Forbert has recorded over 25 albums, and recently released a new album, "Strange Names & New Sensations". He had a huge hit with "Romeo's Tune" in 1980.

"All of the proceeds from the event will actually go to operating expenses and the cost of food for LOVE's Kitchen," said LOVE's Kitchen executive director,
Ruth Irwin.

Tickets will go on sale Sept. 5 at the MSU Riley Center. The cost for A seating is $25.00; B seating tickets are $20.00.

The Riley Center Box Office may be reached at 601-696-2200. For more information about LOVE's Kitchen, call 601-482-8042.

Irwin said, within the next 30 days, the new LOVE's Kitchen on 18th Avenue
will be fully operational.
