The owner of Camp Eagle Ridge talked to the Downtown Optimist Club Tuesday about the progress the camp has made.
Dan Fritts thanked the Optimist Club for supporting Camp Eagle Ridge since it opened in 2010 and shared an update on its activities.
Camp Eagle Ridge is located in Collinsville and is open to both able-bodied and special needs children. The camp helps teach kids about setting goals in life.
"In order to achieve any success in life, they need to set goals," said Fritts. "But in order to achieve those goals, you need to put some work into it. We teach the kids about determination, persistence, courage, overcoming challenges."
