It was a night of music in the Queen City to benefit local boys and girls.
Meridian native and Grammy nominee Kim Hill performed Christmas music, along with the William Myles Choir. The event raised money to help the Boys and Girls Club of East Mississippi. Hill is a Dove award winning and Grammy nominated singer who lived in Meridian as a child. She says it is special to come home to do a concert for a great cause.
"First of all, I'm so excited to get to play in Meridian. I haven't been able to play here much in my 25 years of touring. And it's always been a dream of mine to play at the Temple Theater since I was a kid. And I was telling somebody earlier, I've played at Madison Square Gardens. I've played at amazing places all over the world, but this was a childhood dream to sing here. "
Hill currently lives in Nashville and has a son who plays football for Stanford University in California.
