Hundreds of people in southwest Missouri spent their weekend vying for spots as extras in a Bonnie and Clyde film.
Twenty-five-year-old Taylor Storrs of Neosho showed up two hours early to win the first spot in the line Saturday at the Joplin Holiday Inn. She was thinking about the old show-biz saying, "There's no such thing as a small part."
Director Tonya Holly said she was stunned by the crowd.
The Joplin Globe reported that the "The Story of Bonnie and Clyde" will star Hilary Duff, as Bonnie Parker, and Kevin Zegers, as Clyde Barrow.
Pre-production is scheduled to begin in late April on the feature-length film. It could be shot partly in Joplin and area towns, as well as cities in Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama.
Cyprus Moon Productions has also held a casting call in Philadelphia, Miss., where Holly has said part of the movie will be shot.
