The semi-annual Ralph Morgan Rodeo in Lauderdale is two days away. Preparations are being made for the shows this coming Friday and Saturday.
The long-running show still packs the stands. The rodeo is affiliated with the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association.
Johnny Morgan says he started a breeding program about four years ago and is getting the bulls ready to go on the road.
"My oldest bulls are about three and a half years old. I have a few of them that I brought up this time," Morgan said. "We did buck them here in the spring and they're about ready to put on the road now. But this is usually our try out for them."
Morgan says that he expects interest to increase because of a lot of new entries in the bareback riding, bull riding and team roping this weekend.
Morgan says other events include saddle bronc riding, calf roping, bull dogging, girls' barrel racing, a calf scramble for the kids.
