Country music star and Neshoba County native Marty Stuart was home in Philadelphia Tuesday night, part of a four-stop tour through Mississippi to promote his mother's new book.
Hilda Stuart recently published Choctaw Gardens, a book full of her photographs that span decades. It includes photos from around Philadelphia and has many candid shots of Marty and other big-name country music legends.
"She's the nation's newest photography star. She'll be 80 years old in a couple of weeks," said Stuart. "Museums all over the country are calling for her work. Neil White in Oxford published her book, and I couldn't be prouder of her."
Marty's sister and his wife, Connie Smith, also attended the book signing.
