The Temple Theater will be hosting several events in the coming months.
It announced live stage shows for the fall and winter season Tuesday. The Jefferson Performing Arts Society will present six shows at the Temple.
But the season kicks off this weekend with Petite Rouge, a Cajun version of Little Red Riding Hood.
"Fun for the whole family. It's Little Red going down the bayou, trying to get away from a hungry 'gator," said actress, Anna Rosenberg. "Full of singing. Full of dancing. Fun for the kids, especially because we're all swamp creatures, as you can see. We have a turtle, a crawfish, and Petite Rouge is a duck."
Petite Rouge will be performed Friday at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday at 11 a.m. Tickets are available at the door for $20 for adults and $15 for children.
Tickets for future shows are also available online. A link is provided below.
JPAS will present Fiddler on the Roof Nov. 6 at 2 p.m. And in 2012, it will perform Hairspray, The Bikinis, How I Became A Pirate, and Xanadu.
The Temple Theater also hosts two Christmas shows this year: The Moscow Ballet's Great Russian Nutcracker, Nov. 23, at 7 p.m.; and The Forgotten Carols, Dec. 6, at 7 p.m.
