The justice court office in Kemper County has reopened amid an investigation into alleged embezzlement. Judges for the justice court there have brought in new workers to handle work for now. The office was closed last Wednesday due to an investigation into embezzlement. Normally, two clerks work in the office. Sheriff James Moore says charges of embezzlement and wire fraud could be filed against at least one of those clerks. Officials from the Mississippi Auditor's office are still conducting an audit of the office.
