Some details about Edgar Ray Killen's time in jail could hit the big screen. His former cellmate is announcing plans about a book and movie deal that will reveal alleged confessions from Killen.

For more than a year, James Stern and Killen shared a cell at Parchman prison.

During that time, Stern claims Killen wrote letters to him confessing to 32 civil rights era murders, including the 1964 killings of James Chaney, Michael Schwerner and Andrew Goodman in Philadelphia.

Stern was released from jail in 2011. He now lives in California.
