The Meridian Housing Authority is sponsoring a community meeting Thursday night about revitalizing east Meridian.

MHA is vying for a $30 million grant to revitalize the East End community.

If awarded, the money will be used to refurbish George Reese Courts and a roughly one-mile radius around it.

The housing authority is sponsoring a community meeting Thursday, Aug. 9 at 5:30 p.m. at Mt. Zion Baptist Church at 1803 10th Avenue.
