Overturned Load

Emergency responders were at the scene of a large load that overturned in the road in Kemper County Tuesday morning. The over 1 million-pound load was headed to the lignite coal plant.

The accident happened just after 5 a.m. about two miles from Highway 16 on Highway 493. Efforts were being made to reroute traffic to Highway 495.

There were no reports of injuries.
