Currently, 5,743 students are enrolled for classes this fall at the University of West Alabama in Livingston. Within the freshman class alone, there has been a 17% increase in the number of students, compared to this same time last year. University officials credit the boost to increased use of social media outlets for recruitment. Classes at UWA started Monday.
