A court date has been set for Cindy Truhett, the former clerk of a child support program in east Mississippi.

The trial date is set for Nov. 27 in Lauderdale County Circuit Court.

Truhett was indicted on charges of embezzlement. The July indictment accuses her of, over a period of time, taking almost $217,000 from the Bank Plan.

The Bank Plan is a special child support collection program that serves residents in Lauderdale and Clarke counties.
