Charges have been filed in a fatal weekend vehicle crash in Lauderdale County.
Jimmie Wright, 58, is charged in the case. The collision happened Saturday around 9:45 p.m. on Old Highway 45 North.
"He's been charged with dui manslaughter. His bond has been set at $100,000. The accident is still under investigation and other charges could be possible in this particular crash," said Calhoun.
Calhoun said the accident happened when one of the vehicles was hit on the side.
James Lewis, 40, of Meridian, was killed in the crash. At least five others were injured. None of their injuries were thought to be life threatening.
