The employees of Peavey Electronics participated Wednesday in an annual blood drive to help people at Christmas time.
Peavey does this a couple of times every year, to involve employees in making a difference in their communities. The theme is “holiday heroes.”
"It's one of the easiest things there is to do, and it's so selfless to give," said organizer Rachel Lott. "We wanted to be a part of giving back to the community."
Donating blood during the holiday season is even more important than usual. Since more people are traveling, the odds are higher that it will be needed to treat the injured.
