Police are investigating the discovery of a body found hanging from a tree Wednesday morning in Meridian.
Officials say they know the man's identity, but are not releasing his name.
Authorities say the cause of death could be self-inflicted but a full investigation is being conducted and will include an autopsy.
The man was found in a lightly wooded area between a private residence and East Mississippi State Hospital property.
