Rush Hospital opened its newly expanded heart station to the public Thursday.
The station features a dual head camera for cardiac imaging and other equipment that will enable rush to view the heart better.
An open house was held Thursday afternoon for the public to look at the newly expanded unit.
Rush officials say it will help them better treat heart patients.
"This gives us a better chance to screen heart patients and maybe get to them before they have that major heart attack or suffer congestive heart failure," said Dr. Charles Davenport.
The new station has already been open for several weeks.
