WorldCom Guilty Plea

He was just following orders. That's the explanation offered by former WorldCom controller David Myers in pleading guilty to securities fraud.

Myers said he was told by "senior management" to falsify records in what would become the largest corporate accounting scandal in U.S. history.

Myers entered the plea in federal court in New York.

Prosecutors say Myers and former chief financial officer Scott Sullivan directed employees to help hide more than $3.8 billion in expenses.
