Guess we now know why Trent Lott "resigned"!
It makes no sense to me that a multi-millionaire lawyer seeking arbitration over $26Million would offer a paltry $40,000 as a bribe to the judge. The fact, also, that Balducci has gone AWOL suggests that he, as well as the Judge, were involved in the Federal 'sting', and since Balducci was the only one who had contact with the Judge, the question is whether he was really doing this for Scruggs. There are a lot of powerful people out there, notably in the insurance industry, who would welcome the downfall of one of the few men willing to take them on head-to-head. I hope that the investigation uncovers the truth, and that my gut feeling - that this is a set-up - is proven correct.
