At Monday's meeting of the Council of Governments, city councilman George Thomas told those present that there is still no agreement on a final budget for the city of Meridian for next year.
"Hopefully, the budget will be finalized sometime this month. We have a skeleton budget of totals. We don't have it specifically. We're still working on that," said Dr. George Thomas, Councilman Ward 1.
Tuesday night at 7:00 p.m. the Meridian city council will hold a regular meeting. The budget is expected to be a primary topic of discussion.
