The Piggly Wiggly in Butler, Ala. sustained substantial damage as a result of a fire. It resulted in about $500,000 in lost products alone.

"Everything has been condemned in the store. It's a total loss," said meat department manager, Pierre Blount.

Firefighters battled the blaze for about four hours before finally getting it under control.

It's estimated that it will take four to six weeks to repair the store, but company employees have been working around the clock since the fire to reopen in a temporary location at the old Greer's Tiger Food location on Riderwood Drive.
