The master plan for the Mississippi Arts and Entertainment Center will be unveiled Thursday at 9:00 a.m. at MSU Meridian. The public is encouraged to attend.
"All the dreams for so many years will become a reality," said Charlotte Tabereaux, executive director for the center. "The biggest day yet and we're so excited we can barely contain ourselves. In fact, I've had a great deal of trouble sleeping this week."
The complex is set for construction at Bonita Lakes Park. It will showcase the state's rich history in the areas of arts and entertainment.
Officials say they expect the Arts and Entertainment Center to generate $10 million annually from tourism and feature year-round events.
